For Authors
The editorial board acknowledges the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in scholarly research and permits its use in the preparation of articles submitted for publication, provided that specific requirements are met:
- Authors utilizing AI tools (e.g., Large Language Models) at any stage of manuscript preparation — such as writing, creating images or graphics, or collecting and analyzing data — must transparently disclose this in the "Materials and Methods" section of the article.
- AI should serve as an auxiliary tool and must not be credited as a co-author. All ideas, conclusions, and interpretations must be solely attributable to the author(s).
- The use of AI must comply with ethical standards, including those concerning copyright, data privacy, and algorithmic bias.
For Reviewers
Reviewers may employ AI tools as an auxiliary means to perform technical tasks, such as grammar and style checks, or data analysis. However, such use must not replace their professional judgment. Any utilization of AI must be explicitly declared in the peer review feedback submitted to the editorial board.
Complete automation of the peer review process using AI, including drafting reviews or issuing final evaluations, is prohibited. Reviewers bear personal responsibility for the content of their reviews, which must reflect their own expert analysis and critical thinking.
The use of AI by reviewers must adhere to ethical principles, including the protection of manuscript confidentiality, the avoidance of bias, the maintenance of transparency, and respect for the intellectual property rights of authors.
