                <jats:abstract><jats:p>The article presents the experience of the Encyclopedia of Kolomyia’s compiling. The specialties of the structure this multivolume encyclopedic work as well as the editorial and publishing process are characterized. The historical preconditions of the appearance of this encyclopedia about Kolomyia region are described, the important information of this region and the necessity of their coverage in the encyclopedic format are highlighted.</jats:p></jats:abstract>
