The research is devoted to issues of the ecosystem of encyclopedic knowledge. The fact is that a reference information is now increasingly used as means of media manipulation in level of public consciousness (for political, ideological, and economic reasons). This is well traced on the example of online encyclopedias with free access to editing of posted information such as Wikipedia. This article is based on the description of the online analytical report on encyclopedias in Europe written by experts of the European Parliament.
