The author emphasizes that the Ukrainian children’s audience does not yet have access to a high-quality digital encyclopedia and suggests that Vikidia could potentially fill this gap. At the same time, the author highlights the importance of ensuring that Ukrainian children’s encyclopedias or Ukrainian-language segments in international projects like Vikidia provide content specifically tailored to Ukrainian children (сurrently, the vast majority of children’s encyclopedias published in Ukraine consist of translated literature). Стаття інформує українську спільноту про дитячу універсальну багатомовну онлайн-енциклопедію “Vikidia”, акцентуючи на відсутності в ній українськомовного розділу. Констатуємо факт, що українська дитяча аудиторія поки що не має якісної електронної енциклопедії і, очевидно, “Vikidia” могла б заповнити цю прогалину.
